Dallas Roundup

The new issue of Profiles is largely devoted to coverage of the most successful conference in PTC/USER history, the World Event 2006 held last month in Dallas, Texas. The cover story by Dan Marsalek reprises his conference presentation, and Olaf Corten provides supplemental information about his new OCUS tools. We also have an event summary to help you catch up on the happenings in case you missed them.

Congratulations to Skoda Automotive for winning the overall award in this year's PTC Awards design competition. You can see their entry along with all of the category winners at www.ptc.com/go/awards.

Video Webcast Planned
We're planning to release selected recordings from the World Event at our web site as streaming videos. We'll make an announcement when these are available, which we hope to do within the next couple weeks.

Future Sites for PTC/USER World Event
During the closing ceremonies in Dallas, we announced that World Event 2007 will be held in Tampa, Florida, June 3-6. In order to support the continuing growth in the organization, the event will be located in the Tampa Convention Center. It is a beautiful location, near Tampa Bay and all of the downtown attractions. Tampa is just 90 minutes from Orlando and the theme parks there.

There was also a question during the Town Hall meeting on when we would return to the West Coast. We're pleased to announce that the PTC/USER World Event 2008 will be held in Long Beach, California at the Long Beach Convention Center. Full details will be released next year following the Tampa conference.
