A nine-year tradition at the Pro/USER International Conference, the PTC® Awards Competition showcases the many different and innovative ways that users are putting Pro/ENGINEER® and other PTC software to work. Adding to this year’s pool of contestants were several submissions made to a special European Competition, conducted at the first annual European user conference in Berlin, Germany.

To name the winners, PTC executives screened entries on the basis of their comprehensive use of PTC products, creativity, and technical merit, along with the benefits it brought to the entrant's company. A panel of outside experts—including Paul Teague, Ben Ames and Louise Elliott of Design News and Phil LoPiccolo of Computer Graphics World—then narrowed the list down to just five finalists in each of eight categories. Over 2,000 PTC product users worldwide, including attendees at the Pro/USER International Conference, cast their votes online for the category winners as well as for the overall best design.
